Magdalena Krynska

DOG TRAINER

My name is Mags and I'm training dog handlers on 1-2-1 basis since 2014. In 2021 I’ve started training assistance dogs, from 2022 dogs on residential stays and from 2023 I’ve started classes.

I am the owner and handler of two working dogs (an 12 y.o. rottweiler, Nitro & 3 y.o. giant schnauzer, Yarpen) and one little rescued girl - Bruxa (9 years old). Both boys have been trained to compete in different dog sports (IGP, FCI obedience, agility). Nitro gained nine titles before he retired from sport: BH, PT-1, PT-2, PT-3, PTT-1, UPR-1, WT-1, WT-2, WT-3. Yarpen passed WT-1, WT-2 & WT-3. He is preparing for the BH exam.

Let's train together!

Residental training

Your dog lives with me at home, being treated as one of my own dogs during its residential stay. It has 3 training sessions per day, one of them includes walkies.

Residential stay is not a quick fix for your dog's problems, but it will give you a lot of advantage in your future training. After every stay, you will receive free 1-2-1 trainings. Their number depends on the number of weeks your dog spent with me (after 4 weeks stay, you have 4 free individual trainings, after 5 weeks stay - 5 lessons, etc.).

To make you less anxious about your pooh, you will receive regular updates with pictures and films from your dog's life via What's App. For safety reasons, your dog will wear a GPS tracker whilst on residential stay with me.

Individual training

1-2-1 training WITH the handler

This is the kind of training, where handler works with their own dog under my guidance.

We meet once a week for an hour to train together and in between, we are in touch via email or internet communicators. We’ve got a private Facebook group with tutorial videos. Handlers can ask any questions they want, they can send films from their sessions, etc. This is all free of charge, you pay only for the training session (plus fuel charge if we meet outside Crewe).

Handler and their dog are working in the real life scenarios - in the park, in the town center, around other dogs, people, traffic, etc. Every training venue is customized to the current level of dog's focus and handler's knowledge and skills.

(60 minutes each)

Individual training

1-2-1 training WITHOUT the handler

Great option for busy people who don't want to send their dog for a residential stay.

I meet your dog everyday, five times a week for a 45 minutes training session and you can stay with us or not. Your dog will be trained by me, so you can observe the training, ask questions, etc or you can just let it go with me. Once a week we will have an hour session with you handling your dog and learning his new skills.

Cost is £185 per week (plus fuel charge if outside Crewe).

REFRESHER TRAINING

Every client with a dog that completed their training plan with us (individual or residential) is entitled to book a refresher training session once a month in a discounted price (£35 per 60 minutes session). Book here.

Additionally, we offer a residential top-up training for all our students. If you go on holidays, instead of finding boarding kennels for your dog, you can leave him with me. Your dog stays in my house and is treated as one of my own dogs. Also, he gets a training session every day. It’s a great opportunity for you to ensure you are still on track with your dog’s training journey. Cost £40 - £45 per day (depending on dog’s size and reactivity level).

SPORT FOUNDATIONS CLASSES

This group is made for everybody who would like to do more with their dog. For handlers who would like to try dog sports. Who are thinking about Working Tests, FCI obedience, IGP, agility or just want to bond with their dogs on a completely new level. We are training sport foundations needed in every discipline, but we can also practice specific exercises from FCI Obedience and IGP. We can also prepare for BRDSC Working Tests.

We will work on:

  • 3D's in stays (Distance, Duration and Distractions)
  • attitude - eagerness & motivation
  • rewarding with play and food games
  • where and when to reward
  • teaching handlers how to support their dogs in the ring
  • how to move from teaching phase to motivational phase

Cost: £80 per month

plus venue hire cost

2 hrs training session twice a month

SOCIALISATION WALKS

Pack walks are a great occasion for our dogs to have fun and practice their social skills, whilst walking with a group of people and dogs. These events are organized once a month and only for the dogs who have been training with us. This way we can make sure the dogs are safe and under control.

We change the walking area regularly, trying to find a different place for every month. Dogs often walk on a long line, with the end of the line dropped, so it’s an off lead walk. Some dogs are completely off lead, some stay on the lead, some dogs wear muzzles. We pass other people with dogs, so we learn/practice how to deal with similar situations. These walks are a great example of real life scenario walks.

Cost: £20 per dog

min 2, max 6 dogs per walk

only for our trainees

duration: 75 - 90 minutes

Assistance Dog

Disabled people who train their own assistance dogs, or those who have an assistance dog trained by non-ADUK members, have the same rights as those that have an assistance dog trained by one of ADUK members. It means that every dog can become an assistance dog if it has a personality and abilities required for the task and has been appropriately trained to meet the criteria.

There are two options for your dog to be trained:

  • 1-2-1 training with handler (£175 per month, training sessions once a week)
  • Residential training (£475 per week)

When the dog and its handler are ready to be assessed, they need to pass the exam in the unfamiliar environment. If they pass, they become a qualified team, they receive a Service dog ID card and an identification book. From this moment they can take their dog everywhere.

The Equality Act 2010 and Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (NI) require that disabled people have the same rights to services such as accommodation, restaurants, pubs and cafes as everyone else.

The Equalities Act 2010 and Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (NI) say that reasonable adjustments must be made in order to avoid discriminating against disabled people.

These reasonable adjustments will range from creating an access route for a person with a wheelchair to modifying a “no dog’s policy” in order that a disabled person may be accompanied by their assistance dog.

Assistance Dog trained by us should be able to:

  • stop at the distance and wait for the cue what to do next (emergency stop)
  • ignore food on its nose level, on the table and on the ground (food refusal)
  • settle in public places (including restaurants, shops and on the street)
  • greet people in a controlled manner (on a cue)
  • ignore people, dogs and other animals
  • walk to heel on a loose lead (in public places)
  • walk besides the mobility scooter / wheelchair if required
  • stay (in sit or down positions) for at least 3 minutes in public place with its handler standing 3 meters away
  • walk through the gates in a controlled manner (house manners, car manners)
  • remain calm when another person takes hold of the lead and walks with the dog 3 meters away from the handler
  • recall immediately, including recall from distractions
  • toilet on a cue
  • bark on a cue if required
  • fetch the phone / purse / their lead if required
  • learn special tasks tailored to handler's needs (to load the washing machine, bring the post, open the door etc.)
  • relax in crate and dog bed on a cue
